LIST  OF  SPEAKERS  FOR  THE  2012 MEETINGS

We meet October to March / April on the first Monday of the month, and have one or two visits in the summer usually to places that have featured in our winter programme eg.- Lostwithiel. We also have a summer pilgrimage which often involves a boat trip and Cornish Cream Tea!

Our meetings are held at

The Community Rooms, Bell Hill, Gorran Haven

Membership fees £5  per year couples £7.50, visitors £1 per meeting

Next function of the St. Goran Old Cornwall Society is a walk from Gorran Haven to Bodrugan’s Leap on Monday 23rd April, starting at 7 p.m. Assemble at the junction of Cliff Road and Perhaver Park at 7 p.m.

On Monday 18th June St. Goran Old Cornwall Society will visit St. Austell Museum  - assemble at the Market House entrance at 2 p.m. Tea afterwards at the Pine Lodge Gardens, Holmbush.

This is our 25th year and as a celebration we are planning a trip in old boats built by the Gorran Haven boatbuilder Dick Pill in late July or early August around the Gwineas and probably as far as Dodman Point to the west. Timing and route a bit depend on tides and weather conditions. I will try and let you have more details nearer the date. Afterwards tea on the lawn of secretary Sue Fox’s house, “Schovella”, overlooking the harbour.

Best wishes,
James
