The Penryn and Falmouth Old Cornwall Society was founded on10th December 1926 and the first President was the Mayor of Falmouth Councillor T. A. Webber.

The Society is a member of the Federation of Old Cornwall Societies. Its aim is to encourage the teaching and use of the Cornish Language, to keep alive ancient customs and traditions, to preserve and study records, relics and ancient sites, monuments, paths etc., locally, and throughout Cornwall and to investigate and record the Duchy's history. Our own Recorder is always glad to have information of local historical interest.

NEW MEMBERS ARE VERY WELCOME.

IMPORTANT TO ALL MEMBERS AND FRIENDS

Do you have any interesting memories of the past? We now have our own tape recording equipment and are anxious to build for the future a library of local historical facts and reminiscences. Perhaps you would prefer to write down your memories - or have them written down for you. If you feel you have something to contribute or can assist in any way, please contact our Recorder or any of the Society's Officer.

In addition, our Recorder would welcome any items relating to the land based or marine interest of the Penryn-Falmouth area in the form of books, maps, documents, post-cards and photographs, new and old, to complement our existing archive materal.
